Good Vibes Lauded For Luck |
By Donna Gray
Aside from magicians, most of us would hesitate to claim that we can make things like money, love, even an ice cream cone appear out of thin air. Not if you’re Michael Losier, who is among a growing number of authors who believe everyone has the ability to create their own success or failure. All it takes is intention.
“I was always attracting great stuff in my life and I celebrated that, but when I attracted negative stuff, I never understood why,” says Losier, who is currently on a 26-city tour promoting his methods of “manifesting” in his book, Law of Attraction.
He points out that there are always those who seem lucky in romance, business and health, while there are those who seem to be a magnet for misfortune. Either circumstance might not be due to fate, pre-determination by a universal force or even luck. Losier believes it might actually be the power of intention affecting the outcome—something he says is quantum physics in action.
“Let’s say you get up in the morning and you think you’re going to have another lousy day. You get up out of bed, stub your toe, burn your toast, a bird poops on your car and you’re late for work. Just the thought of sending out deliberate vibrations that you’ll have a terrible day, are in motion and that’s exactly what will happen.”
The science of manifestation has long been investigated by well-known scientists such as Max Planck, Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton. More recent authors like Wayne Dyer, Lynn Grabhorn, Bruce Doyle and Patricia Heller have put their own spin on the saying, “You can do anything if you put your mind to it.” Their books continue to fly off the shelves in self-help sections of local stores.
“I think people are searching for answers and, since this is the age of professionalism, we’re looking to people in the know to provide them,” says Patrick O’Neil, Alberta’s regional marketing manager for Indigo Books, and Music and Chapters.
Losier says the key to manifesting what you want in life starts with identifying the desired outcome, raising your feelings or “vibes’ about it, and allowing for it to happen by getting rid of the doubt. Losier is bringing his insight to Calgary March 20th for two appearances…
